The Saadani National Park consists about 1,100 km 2 on the north shore and the only national park on the coast. It’s a decent home where basking is happened the undergrowth on this mountain is tall grass prairie, dispersed palm trees; short grass browsing lands, black cotton grasslands, Acacia zanzibarica with its long spines, which shelters large areas of the park, mangrove woodlands, salt pans and bare saline parts, Wami river is the most significant freshwater source besides many provisional rivers and dams. There are also woodlands of Zaraninge and Kwamsisi
The park has animals such as of: giraffe, buffalo, warthog, waterbuck, reedbuck, wildebeest, red duiker, greater kudu, antelope, yellow baboon and vervet primate, lion, leopard, spotted hyena, black-backed jackal hippos, crocodiles, elephants, Colobus monkeys, Warthogs, Zebra, porcupines, Bushbucks, Hippo as well as crocodile, green turtles breed, bats, Humpback whales and dolphins.
Bird species include riverine birds like mangrove kingfisher, lesser flamingo, kingfishers, and fish eagles
